Senior Manager – Development (NPD)
Role Objective: The Senior Manager – Development will lead the end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle, from RFQ to PSW, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to customer and regulatory quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. New Product Development (NPD)
– Lead complete NPD lifecycle from RFQ to PSW.
– Ensure structured project execution using PLM systems.
– Monitor timelines and deliverables.
2. Technical & Product Development
– Drive design and development of automotive components.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
3. Costing & Commercial Feasibility
– Prepare and validate costing and pricing.
– Optimize cost structures.
4. Customer Coordination
– Interface with customers during development stages.
– Manage reviews and approvals.
5. Quality & Compliance
– Ensure adherence to IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3.
– Handle PPAP, APQP documentation.
6. Team Leadership
– Build and manage development team.
– Drive performance and innovation.
7. Process Improvement
– Implement efficiency improvements.
– Drive lean practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
– B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
– 15+ years experience in automobile sector
– 6+ years managerial experience
– Experience in IATF-certified company
Key Skills:
– NPD, APQP, PPAP knowledge
– Project management & PLM
– Customer handling
– Leadership skills
Additional Requirements:
– Age: 35–45 years
– Willing to relocate to Pantnagar
