Position Overview<\/h3>\n

The Deputy Manager \u2013 NPD will be responsible for managing the end-to-end New Product Development lifecycle, starting from RFQ and feasibility through APQP, product development, PPAP approval and successful SOP\/production launch.<\/li>\n
The position requires strong experience in the automotive industry, particularly in an IATF 16949 environment, along with hands-on experience in PLM systems. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams and customers to ensure timely, cost-effective and successful product development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

\n\u2022 Review customer RFQs and coordinate technical feasibility.
\n\u2022 Coordinate with relevant functions for feasibility, costing and development timelines.
\n\u2022 Support preparation of techno-commercial proposals.
\n\u2022 Identify technical, manufacturing and development-related risks at the RFQ stage.<\/p>\n
2. New Product Development<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Lead the complete NPD lifecycle from RFQ to SOP.
\n\u2022 Prepare and monitor product development plans and timelines.
\n\u2022 Track APQP activities and ensure timely completion of milestones.
\n\u2022 Manage product development activities through the PLM system.
\n\u2022 Ensure timely closure of development-related issues.<\/p>\n
3. DFMA & Design for Manufacturability<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Drive DFMA activities through the NPD team.
\n\u2022 Ensure products are developed considering manufacturability, quality and cost.
\n\u2022 Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
\n\u2022 Ensure proper management and control of product\/design data through PLM.<\/p>\n
4. APQP & PPAP<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Lead and execute APQP activities as per customer and organizational requirements.
\n\u2022 Prepare, review and coordinate PPAP documentation.
\n\u2022 Ensure completion of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC and process-related documentation.
\n\u2022 Ensure PPAP submission and approval within agreed timelines.
\n\u2022 Maintain all relevant NPD and PPAP documentation in the PLM system.<\/p>\n
5. Cross-Functional Coordination<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Tooling, Vendors and other relevant functions.
\n\u2022 Ensure timely resolution of development issues.
\n\u2022 Ensure manufacturing, quality and process readiness before SOP.<\/p>\n

6. SOP & Production Launch<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Ensure complete readiness for SOP.
\n\u2022 Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tooling and other functions for smooth product launch.
\n\u2022 Monitor launch activities and address issues affecting production readiness.
\n\u2022 Ensure successful transition from development to regular production.<\/p>\n
7. Customer Interaction<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Handle technical discussions with customers during product development.
\n\u2022 Provide regular development updates to customers.
\n\u2022 Coordinate customer requirements, technical clarifications, trials, submissions and approvals.
\n\u2022 Support resolution of customer-related technical issues during NPD.<\/p>\n
8. Team Management<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Lead and manage a team of approximately 6\u20138 NPD members.
\n\u2022 Allocate responsibilities and monitor individual\/team performance.
\n\u2022 Guide and mentor team members on NPD, APQP and PPAP activities.
\n\u2022 Ensure timely completion of assigned development activities.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text woodmart_inline=\u201dno\u201d text_larger=\u201dno\u201d]<\/p>\n

Educational Qualification<\/h3>\n
\u2022 B.Tech \/ B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
\nExperience
\n\u2022 8\u201312 years of relevant experience in Automotive New Product Development (NPD).
\n\u2022 Experience in an IATF 16949 environment is mandatory.
\n\u2022 Strong hands-on experience in PLM systems is mandatory.<\/p>\n
