Senior Executive – Quality (Brake Lining & Friction Materials)
About the Role:
Luman Innovation Private Limited is looking for a dynamic, technically competent and hands-on Senior Executive – Quality to independently manage the complete Quality function at its Brake Lining & Friction Material manufacturing plant at Pantnagar. The plant has approximately 25 employees, and the incumbent will coordinate all quality activities across Production, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, Suppliers and Customers while reporting to the Corporate Quality Head.
Educational Qualification:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering. Additional certifications in Quality Management, Core Tools or Six Sigma are preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Brake Lining / Friction Material manufacturing in an IATF 16949 certified automotive company. Hands-on exposure to Incoming Quality, In-Process Quality, Final Inspection, Customer Quality and Supplier Quality is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incoming Quality Control (IQC)
• In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)
• Final Quality Control (FQC)
• Customer complaint handling, 8D, CAPA and Root Cause Analysis
• Supplier Quality Management and Vendor Development
• Maintain IATF 16949 Quality Management System
• Preparation and maintenance of SOPs, Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow Charts and quality records
• Calibration management and laboratory coordination
• Participate in Internal, Customer and IATF audits
• Drive Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Maintenance, Suppliers and Customers
• Lead the complete quality function independently in a small manufacturing plant
Technical Skills:
Brake Lining Manufacturing Processes, Friction Material Technology, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, 7 QC Tools, CAPA, 8D, Internal Audits and Metrology.
KPIs:
Customer PPM, Internal Rejection, Supplier Rejection, First Pass Yield, Audit Compliance, CAPA Effectiveness, Calibration Compliance, COPQ and Customer Satisfaction.
